Reviewing back to September 2019 which USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) introduced the USB4 specification. It combined data and video transmission and increased transfer speeds to 20Gbps (10Gbps x2) and 40Gbps (20Gbps x 2). Along with a fast charging capability of up to 240W Power Delivery, it full meet the needs of users for high-resolution displays and fast charging. To meet the rapidly growing demands of global high-performance computing (HPC) applications, USB-IF has released the latest USB4 Version2.0 specification. This new version offers ultra-high transfer speeds from 40Gbps to 80Gbps (40Gbps x2) to accommodate the continuously increasing data volume and higher resolution audio and video standards.
Features of the USB4 Gen4 80Gbps
This USB-IF certified USB4® 80Gbps 240W USB Type-C® high-frequency high-speed cable has the following features:
- High-Speed Transmission and Power Efficiency: JCE-designed connector is produced through an automated manufacturing process, ensuring a stable transmission rate of 80Gbps. It supports the latest PD3.1 EPR 240W power standard (48V/5A), providing efficient power delivery.
- Wide Compatibility: The cable supports DisplayPort 2.1 and PCIe 4, with the capability to output up to 16K@60Hz resolution.
- Versatile Applications: It is suitable for a wide range of devices, including laptops, high-performance workstations, monitors, data center equipment, hubs, and gaming consoles. It meets diverse needs for data, video, audio, and power transmission.
